firstPRO is seeking an experienced and strategic Search Marketing Manager to lead our SEO, PPC, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) efforts. This key role is part of our Digital Marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Digital Marketing.
We’re looking for a dynamic professional with a deep understanding of B2B digital marketing, combining hands-on expertise with strategic vision to drive measurable results. The ideal candidate will lead a talented team, optimizing visibility, engagement, and conversions across search platforms while navigating the evolving landscape of generative AI in search.
Key Responsibilities:
- Search Marketing Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement an integrated B2B strategy for SEO, PPC, and CRO, aligned with overall business objectives and digital marketing goals to deliver clear ROI.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of SEO, PPC, and CRO specialists, fostering collaboration and excellence.
- Thought Leadership: Serve as the go-to expert on search marketing, providing strategic guidance and insights across the organization.
- SEO Optimization: Oversee technical and on-page SEO strategies, ensuring alignment with the latest trends, including traditional and generative AI search engines. Collaborate with content teams and business unit marketers to develop effective topic clusters and pillar pages.
- Paid Search Management: Lead paid search initiatives, including keyword research, ad creation, bid optimization, and campaign performance analysis, integrating efforts with SEO and CRO strategies.
- Conversion Rate Optimization: Develop and execute CRO strategies to enhance user experience, engagement, and conversion rates across the website.
- Data-Driven Insights: Utilize analytics tools to measure performance, generate insights, and refine strategies, sharing actionable recommendations with stakeholders.
- Generative AI Search Optimization: Stay at the forefront of AI-driven search trends, adapting strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the evolving search ecosystem.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in search marketing with a focus on B2B environments; proven success in both SEO and paid search. Experience in finance is a plus.
- Consultative Approach: Ability to provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders; prior customer-facing agency experience is preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of technical and on-page SEO, paid search management, and CRO principles.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of search and CRO professionals.
- Analytics Proficiency: Expertise in tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Brightedge, and Conductor; adept at leveraging data to inform decisions and optimize strategies.
- AI Knowledge: Strong understanding of generative AI trends and their impact on search marketing.
- Location Flexibility: Proximity to Wilmington, DE, with the ability to work in the office 2–3 days per week.
